Plz help me help my pretty red dobie

My dobie is itching herself raw, usually around this time of the year she starts to itch and lick herself raw. She is 8,+ years. I really have zero funds to trade her to the pet like a good pet parent so if I could possibly treat this myself In would love whatever info you can provide would be greatly appreciated

Cool

My pup used to breakout each time of each about now............any chance dogs reacting to ant bites ....or flea bites ?
An easy over the counter remedy is the human dandruff shampoo ...Selsun blue .........or a great astringent is 1 part vinegar 3 parts water.....
Selsun might heal- with the itching.............

Daily wipe downs with the vinegar .......treat the symptoms and keep things in check..........

Chlorhexidine shampoo for dogs might help......but no more than once per week.........can orider on amazon.......not sure if I spelled that correctly

It sounds like she has seasonal environmental allergies. If over the counter things like Benadryl don't help, then she needs to go to the vet, so that they can prescribe medication that can help.

Oh, wow, I just saw the photo. She NEEDS to go to the vet for an exam and blood work. There could well be something more than just allergies going on. If you are in the US, and money is tight, ask your vet about Care Credit. Another option is to see if there is a clinic in your area that works on a sliding scale (usually associated with a local humane society or SPCA).
