First ever study confirms keeping dogs lean extends life

This doesn't surprise me, but the first ever long-term study has confirmed that keeping dogs at ideal body weight extends their life by up to 2 years. Incidentally, just another reason I support Purina - they do research, and share and publish the results of that research in quality veterinary journals.

Link here to the announcement. I don't have the original publication in the Journal of the Veterinary Medical Association. there is a phone number listed to call if you'd like a copy, though.
