I did, but hopefully this is not your situation. My Caesar was diagnosed in May 2015 with a cancerous brain lesion. Within a month later, I came home from work, my husband said he couldn’t get him to eat or drink water. Having once two small kids and when they would get sick, I took a cold washcloth and gently pressed it all over Caesar’s head, muzzle, face, etc. After a little bit,got him to take some crushed ice, he always loved ice cubes. Took him to bed with me,and did this all nite when he was awake, at the same time I was quietly crying my eyes out. His cough rails, chest sounded so congested and he looked at me so helplessly. The next morning when I called our vet, she told me she thought it was time, sounded like pneumonia, a side effect of the cancer. We took him in, he had a high fever, difficulty breathing and the way he looked at us, trying to tell me it was okay. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.We stayed until the end and even longer, couldn’t believe he was gone. I’m hoping yours is just an infection. Sorry for the sad story.
Sending positive thoughts your way.
