Post Leaking!

Hey guys! Have a question and could really use some input so I'm prepared to offer suggestions to the vet this week at appointment. Foxy is 5 1/2 y/o female red dobie. She was fixed approx at 5 1/2 to 6 months. The vet at the time rushed to fix her cause she was getting to big and at the time (would need more anesthesia) & I didnt know the implications of fixing early. 1st time mom

The problem- Foxy never has accidents in the house. Super easy to potty train as a pup. And I have friends stop by the house and let her out every 4-6hrs while I'm at the hospital working for 12hr days. Here recently, she has been leaking while laying down. When she is sleeping and totally relaxed. I will look over a huge puddle will be underneath her. She goes out and pees normal. Urine looks normal (for what thats worth). I'm a icu nurse and used to medical issues in humans, so I did some research. It sounds like it could be hormone responsive incontinence, some type of stones or UTI. This has happened a few times in the past, but not reoccurring and I've had her tested for UTI then and it was negative.
Vet appt is this week. But just was wondering if anyone has had luck with the treatment for hormone incontinence, it seems like there's 2 choices, and which did u choose?
How long did it take to take effect?
Any suggestions on the cheapest way to discover if there are stones?
I would greatly appreciate it... Feel bad for my girl and really cant take another morning of waking up with the bed soaked!

It's probably spay related incontinence tho sometimes some foods seem to have an effect. I've heard this about Acana, I believe.

What are you feeding her?

Lot's of incontinence information here:

Ahhh...I see you recently changed foods. I think I would change to a better and grain free food. Use this site to help you select a grainfree food. I would suggest you not go below a five star food.

I actually changed food back when I realized this forum and was asking questions about her nails. Beneful was horrible. She was on Purina Pro Plan until about 6 months ago and now she's on Authority. Pro plan gave her terrible gas!

Is it the grain free formula? Have you ever tried Taste of the Wild sold at Tractor Supply? Its a decent grain free food for a reasonable cost. The Wild Wetlands or Wild High Prarie seems to be rated higher than the other formulas.

When I give my girl too much of any kind of kibble (I use as treats and kong fillers), she leaks. Her system can tolerate about a 1/2 cup which enough to fill her treat dispensing ball during the day. Any more than that and she has to drink a lot of water, which makes her leak. My girl is fairly young though and I've ruled out UTI and bladder problems. I've tried all sorts of grain free, high end and such kibble. Once I've switched her over to raw, only using grain free kibble in moderation, her problem has gone away. However, if I fill the treat dispensing ball up twice in one day, she leaks. My solution to dry beds is very limited kibble consumption.

Our girl developed spay incontinence within a year of being spayed at 2 1/2. We used Proin for about 9 years but maxed out the dosage and couldn't control the leaking. Recently, we changed to Incurin but it resulted in a swollen vulva as if she was in heat with one weeks use. Due to this side effect (4% get this side effect), we changed to DES compounded at a local pharmacy. She had no side effects and is doing very well on DES. She has a higher dose at one pill per 3 days. We supplement with 1 tablet( 1/2 in am and 1/2 in pm) of Proin. She is doing really well and no signs of side effects. She has gone from puddles to a drop or two when sleeping.
