Petsecure... used every penny from it: In my opinion if you have a Doberman get insurance because they get into things when you least expect, they have GI sensitivity to certain food often (in my experience), DCM, Cancer etc.
5000/yr was not enough in the end because mine got DCM + lung tumour and it covered 80%. Ask yourself if you are going to give meds if they get a problem or are you going to put them down. If you are willing to give meds then get insurance because
1) DCM meds are not cheap for the rest of their lives and
2) CHEMO is even more expensive... I was paying $2000/month.
If you are curious I had expenses for ingested socks/underwear, diarrhea meds, heart checks annually, shots, random meds, blood work, various x rays, various ultrasounds.
My next one will have the unlimited plan.
Remember one CT or MRI will cost you thousands not 1000 unless you have a magical place... so the lifetime cost of 90$/month for 10 years if you are that lucky is 10,000 which is not much.
