Any reputable breeder willing to export to South America.

Hi,
I have been on a quest for a Doberman for almost a year now. The problem is that all reputable breeders that I talk to loose interest in selling to me the moment I tell them I'm outside the US. Only breeders that seem that want quick buck and don't care about their breeding processes are happy to export a puppy. I was wondering if there are reputable breeders that are willing to export outside the continental North America and if someone could recommend one to me.
Thanks.

Why are you not interested in a puppy from one of the many serious Doberman breeders in South America?

Where do you live? Do you realize that most of the South American Dobermans originally came from North American bloodlines, although this was many generations back in many cases.

We have sold dogs to South America, but I think you would be better off getting a South American dog for several reasons unless you have a specific reason for getting one from North America.

I live in Colombia. The reason I haven't considered South American breeders is because of lack of transparency and recommendations. I've heard of many cases where people have been scammed out of their money or been given a puppy which turns out to be a completely different breed when they grow up. Thus the mistrust...

The irony is, while today european lines are becoming increasingly popular in Brazil and Argentina, a lot of North American dobermans influenced the South American lines, and to this day the South American lines still influence North American dobermans. While it is true that the US and Canada would be the main places we think of, don't forget there is also Mexico.

My understanding is there are some very nice breeders in Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Brazil.
For Mexico, a friend has a bitch from Monflos and is very happy with her conformation and temperament (she trained in Mondio before and currently does IGP) this friend is pretty rigorous about health testing and pedigree health/longevity she is picky about her research. Currently lives in Germany. Might be worth reaching out to Monflos.

in Argentina, the names you'll see most often in US and Can bred dobermans will be De Black Shadow, De Lex Luthor, Nello's, Akido San

(couldn't find any other webapages easily but I didn't dig much so I'm sure you could)

Other breeders besides the previously mentioned in Mexico who was highly recommended to me by an old friend, experienced professional dog handler and very experienced with Doberman who is handling in the US since long time ago, is Rosa Olvera. I almost buy a pup from her last year but the mating didn't work and then I had some unexpected expenses so I lost the track at the end.

Other highly recommended breeder by the same person is Falcon creek Dobermans, I did not have contact with them, but their dogs are really nice, and again, they were highly recommended to me.

I live in Mexico by the way
