looking for a reputable breeder in bay area

Hi there.

We are looking for a good breeder in the bay area. Any recommendations? We are looking for an American dobie puppy male.

It's a little further out of your way but: Heartwood Dobermans in Talent, OR about a 5-6 hour drive North of San Francisco. She is planning a Fall 2020 litter and currently taking inquiries. I would get in touch with her, her dobermans are lovely, she's got good health and longevity and sound temperaments. 18 of her dogs have been certified therapy dogs while also performing in the rally ring, SAR venue etc... She'd definitely be my first choice if I were in the PNW.

That being said you can also check out the Doberman Pinscher Club of Northern California
as there are many high quality breeders in that area.

Hi dobiedude. And welcome from the Pacific NW.

There is certainly no disagreeing with Artemis here. I would not hesitate looking at Heartwood for a Dobe puppy.

They have been sometimes been closely involved with the breeder of our last 3 boys. Our current 2 dogs share significant blood lines with several of Heartwood's dogs.

Depending on what you are looking for, there are many good and reputable breeders in the Pacific NW. Many are easily accessible from San Francisco. You can search the forum section here for recommended Northwest breeders. Stick around and others may chime in.

Oh... BTW. The breeder of our last 3 dogs is Foxfire. They, like Heartwood are located in Southern Oregon. A very easy drive from the Bay Area. They have both a website (Foxfire Dobermans) and are on Facebook.

Have fun in your search.
