G'day All,

I am in Brisbane.

I now have my second Dobie, 11 weeks old, black and tan male called Axel.

My last boy passed away after nearly 12 years.

I have another thread in the health section however it may be best suited here.

I have recently purchased Sentient Biotic Plus dog food. I have not been able to ascertain if it is any good. It is an Australian made food. I would appreciate any feedback on your experiences and thoughts on this food.

Hi greyman.. welcome, post some pics of your new boy!

I looked at the ingredients list of the food you are feeding. Is it the puppy formula? Seems OK. Not the very best but it depends how your puppy is doing. Is his coat shiny, breath normal, movement ok? I could recommend you a few for the same price that seem to have a better ingredients list but all and all its not that bad. I would give him some sardines or tuna cans a couple of times a week also and some high fat mince beef or beef cut offs every now and then to chew on to keep his coat and joints in good condition. It is important to feed dobes a good food whilst they are growing and beyond as they can have joint issues and while most are heriditary some things can be slowed, helped or prevented with good nutrition.

Hey Matey, welcome to DT, this is an excellent community for the dobe lover/owner.

Sorry to hear about your loss earlier this year. Please post pics of your new puppy when it arrives, not long now very exciting.

Jumping in two years later

I'm in Rockhampton, QLD. I don't have a dobe yet, but I've started the hunt for a breeder, intend on getting a puppy in a couple of years time (I over plan )
