When he pees in the house, is it near the door you let him out? It took me a while to figure out, but what I thought was just your typical "zoomies" around the living room was actually him telling me he has to pee. He will run through the room to the front door, weave through the shoes on the rug, sniff a little towards the other end of the room, then pee on the area rug
. In general, now if I see him near the door even for a second or two I will let him out. For poop, he generally slows down and goes a little wide-legged for a few steps....and LOTS of sniffing. Right before he tries to go, he will kind of back into a squat. He also lets some deadly farts fly if it's been a little while since he pooped.
