I have no clue what order NoBite is going to post the pics, but there is a pic of my Dry Pond, Dominic and Princess Lily Belle. One pic of the neighbors DD's (well, at least 2 of the A-holes). The black Dane pup seems okay. I hope NB blows that pic up, so you can actually see their partial pack of dogs. But, if not, you can at least see I take pride in my property and the neighbors don't.

Spock,

Patience, Grasshopper!

^^ All good choices.

Top Prime Angus Beef - has to be aged 28 days, for the most flavor.
- so you got us for a month, shacked up at your place
(Beau. will run the JD and cut your grass & weeds, weekly...to earn my keep)
- while waiting for the steaks to cure
What is STJ going to do? Sounds like you will do all the work!

No debt (not even mortgage)--but not much income these days either.

But I’ll never forget the time DH (now ex) and I walked into a high end furniture shop. Beater car, both of us about 21 years old, blue jeans (probably with holes in the knees), T-shirts (probably wrinkled). The sales clerks looked at each other...one shrugged (I guess they were taking turns and next customer in (us) was hers). She grudgingly asked us what we wanted. A solid cherrywood dresser. She walked us over to a small one near the entrance, told us a little about it and oh so casually flipped over the price tag, expecting us to our faces to fall and us to say “OMG, that’s way too high, we’re obviously out of place, sorry to bother you” or some such thing.

Should have seen her expression when we said “That’s nice, but we really wanted something bigger.” :)

I prefer Pralines and Cream Ice Cream.

I gather I’m way behind the conversation. Just got on; can’t keep up. :(

Beau,

Practice on your 1952 Ford tractors before you get here!
^^ NO Ford's for me / trust me when I say, NO practice needed.
- I was first put on a 30 HP tractor to steer it, pulling a wagon
- while grownups picked up field stones...I was only in Grade1
- I couldn't even reach the pedals...but throttle was on the dash

What is STJ going to do? Sounds like you will do all the work!
^^ I jumped on the mower chores, before STJ foxed me out of an easy job.
- tractors I find relaxing, having grown up on a farm
After all, you might want John to build you a BBQ cedar party deck, on the back of your house.

I need new decks--mine are falling down.

Can’t think of a good enough bribe though.....I certainly can’t pay you anything.
Everybody just needs to move to OK and everything will be Okay...

Every one of this group will feed horses, dogs, cats, ferrets, donkeys, chickens, wall paper stripping, lawn duties, BARN raising, quilting instructions, etc.

Never mind, stay where you all are at!

30 years ago - wife and I needed new floors on our main floor.
- and shag rug in the hallway, living & dining room...was an eye sore
- cheap vinyl in the kitchen, even worse
The old house was a handyman special, and we gutted the floors.
- new plywood sub floors to start, to remove all the squeaks
- next a combination of new commercial carpet and Armstrong solarium (high end vinyl)

It took us a year to find a killer deal on the vinyl.
- always came back to one sample...it was $44/yard, while the $10 stuff looked cheap
- finally one day, we went to the next city over, and Sears had the exact same solarium on sale
- purchased it for $26/yard, got their best installer and it looked amazing

Months later went into the local store that never had a sale / their showroom had the same $44 flooring.
- wife asks for their best cleaner and she had a $20 rug to purchase
- the FM owner said: "what kind of floor do you have"
- wife said: "same as the one we're standing on"
- she said: "that floor is to expensive for you guys""
- we said: "we purchased this exact flooring from your competition & saved 1,000 bucks
- this identical floor is already installed, in our house"
- owner didn't know what to say...wife said: "keep your mat, we won't be back"
A few years later, she ran the flooring business into the ground.
- the 2 other flooring business in town said: "the old witch, was their best advertising
- she turned many customers into their direction"
