Exclamation Found Doberman in Rancho Sahuarita 01/19/10

I saw a good looking black and tan male doberman running thru Rancho Sahuarita today at about 1pm... I chased him for like 2 miles till we got to the Bark Park. Looked very scared but I managed to get him into the park and a friendly SPD officer brought him to the Rescue League of Green Valley instead of calling Animal Control. Dog had no collar but looked well taken care of. Healthy, neutered, clean coat n teeth, was friendly with other dogs and was trained (sit, paw, ect.). If this is ur pup or u know someone who may have lost theirs. PM me and i'll send u my contact info. I hope we can find his owner. Beautiful Dobe.

great job gettin him out of harms way dirtdog! I couldn't run 2 miles to save my life. now hopefully he can be reunited with his owner who is probly worried sick.

Thank you so much for stepping in, and making sure he was safe.

Ok, so I finally got in contact with the Rescue. and the owner showed up a day later and picked him up! turns out she actually knew me from the dog park hahaha. my Dobe and the one I found have played together before. Apparently someone cut the lock on her gate AND cut off her dogs collars! Who does that!? honestly!!??!? her neighbor found her other little dog, but they couldn't find their Dobe. So they were very happy that he was ok and someone found him. They are getting him chipped right away in case he gets out again.

Its awful how ridiculous people are here in Rancho. I'm goin to get Sancho chipped ASAP.

Wonder if the locks that have a siren on them work ? but living in AZ would not the dog be in the house isn't it HOT there all the time. No I'm not trying to come across as being mean just strange some one would cut locks & collars off dogs how mean is that. Hope they go on the News there as a Humane interest story to inform more people to watch out for there dogs because a nut case is going around doing such a horrible deed.Glad she did not get hit by a car and the owner got her back safe and sound thank you good Samaritan.

Our dogs are indoor/outdoor dogs. They enjoy being outside. Yes, it's hot, but they use a doggy door and choose when to go inside. As for the gate and collars, it isn't uncommon for people to steal dogs in our community, in fact the police department warned residents of numerous dog thefts. We are very thankful to the person that brought our dog to the Animal League.
