After a phone conversation I had with Dr Robertson from Love Field Animal Hospital I am wondering if it's in the best interest to find a better home for the male pup I was given.
Situation is that I already have a 7 month old Damien who is a male in tact black and tan. A fellow officer who for whatever reason could not take care of Dominic offered him to me and with good intentions I believed he would be a good partner for Damien to be socialized. I have had other male dogs and never had any problems with aggression.
My blue male Ranger who passed this past summer had a great personality and never demonstrated any aggression/dominance towards other male dogs. According to Dr. Robertson two male dobermans will almost always become aggressive towards one another.
Anyone here have any experience or know of a good home or a possible female they need a home for? Even though it's been a week, I really hate the fact Dominic has been through 2 homes and possibly a third let alone the two play great together...just have to break them of digging...
