I have been reading all kinds of posts from some wonderful dobie owners from many different areas, but am curious if there is anyone on here from Oklahoma. If your'e an Okie, give a shout!!
we should do a meet up with our dobies, im about a lil over an hour away from tulsa, thats if anyone wants too.....lwkylersmom i know you dont have one yet so maybe after you get one?
That could be all kinds of fun!!! I'm so happy I finally found a dobie pup. She is a red female, she is only a little over a week old so it will be some time before I have her, but am already getting things lined up for her (crate, toys , ect. all that).
Wish I knew of some one with a female adult Buddy could play with he might not do well with another male.Patches is just too darn little at 13# to be a playmate for Buddy at 91#. A lady up the street had a male Lab all he wanted to do in mount Buddy all the time. Of course Buddy was much younger than he is now so no way I think he would try to fight a male dog.???
Patches Mom--I wish I already had my girl, and that she was big enough to play. Maybe one of these days in the near future we could have a doggie playdate!!! By the way..where are u located in Oklahoma??? Just curious. I'm in Woodward.:nocom:
Boy, I feel all alone out here in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma!!! Sounds like I should move to Tulsa to have some Dobie friends!! Oh well, small town life isn't all that bad.
We are actually in Osage County in the hills behind Gilcrease Museum. We do train at TDTC though. Where are you?
I haven't trained in Schutzhund and not too knowledgeable in all that. I see you are a trainer. Dagger, my couch buddy had beginning Schutzhund training but we didn't continue that. We actually got him from a guy that returned him to the breeder when he went to Iraqi. He did the Schutzhund training. We are working with him in obedience right now at TDTC and just got his CGC. He's really a big baby with a big bark...so gentle with my grandkids, yet protective which is great out in the country.
So funny, yesterday AM, he was gathering up all the toys on the floor in a big pile. Our old girl Lucy was on the couch, so he places one toy in front of her, one in my lap, and one in my husband's chair. He is working on making friends I guess. He's a good boy!
I have been following DT for about six months now. I am a government contractor in Kabul but I should wrap up here in April. I don't have a Doberman yet but when I get home I am going to talk to some breeders. If you all know anyone you would refer let me know.
Ello all! I'm an Okie in Claremore. Just recently bought my first dobie his name is Vinnie. Love him soo much was hoping to find some friends here that could maybe answer any questions I may have. So please feel free to message me!

Hello all! I am a recent Okie! Just moved to Tulsa about a year ago. I was living in an apartment but recently just aquired a house and I am really interested in getting a Doberman. I was waiting until the right time and place to do it and I believe the best is now! If anyone knows any breeders around or any information on the best place to get one it would be truly helpful. I am looking for a female preferably puppy, with shots, ears clipped, and friendly (although I have no other pets). Again any information would be helpful!
