Rating?

One of my posts has a check mark under rating, I was wondering what that meant? I may have used the S word in that post I'll have to go back and look. Is there a list of the ratings anywhere? Thanks, Sheila

Every thread can be rated. In the upper portion of the thread there is a dropdown where you can rate the thread. Is that what you are talking about? Post the link to the thread you are talking about.

The checkmark means you have subscribed to that thread, if I'm not mistaken.

you probably have your user settings set to automatically subscribe to threads you start

I do subscibe to the threads I start and most I reply to but did not know that was what the check meant. What do the stars mean?

The stars mean someone has rated that thread (excellent, good, average, bad, terrible).

See at the top where it says rating? Any member can rate a thread. I am sure it averages the ratings divided by the number of votes to give an average rating per thread for those that have been rated by multiple members.

Indeed. If you hover over the rating with your pointer, it will tell you how many people have voted, and the average vote.
