List location of user under the Avatar

Im always crurious where people are from when they are contributing to a topic. I find it usefule info, especially concerning regional specific topics like cropped ears, ect.

Also, would be able to make local contacts if you run accross someone from your town.

TD, can it be turned on?

Yes, I believe that is an option in the vBulletin software.

But an easy way to see a member's location is just go into the member's profile. If they have the location field filled in in their user profile, it will show up in their public profile. Even if it showed up in the mini profile under the avatars, not everyone fills in that information anyway.

There's a whole list of stuff under the avatar, why not throw the location in there too. I bet people would fill it out if people could see it. Clicking through profiles is just another step. Its interesting to kow if your talking to somone across the globe. Plus, it wouldnt hurt anything to do it.

Yea it is really annoying not having the location right there. Every forum I have ever been on has that, except this one. I would love to see that addition. For the overall good of DT!

If you fill in your location field in your usercp it will now show

It's a little bit wordy under the avatars now, but I personally would rather see where a poster is from rather than when they joined the forum or how many times they were thanked!

I agree, I'd rather see the location than the thanks. The mini-profiles are looking pretty cluttered now - maybe we could lose the casino cash line, and the 2 thanks lines? Do people even look at those anyway? If that information is available elsewhere in the main profile for reference, we probably don't need it cluttering up the mini-profiles.
