Thanks Button

Is there any chance it can be changed so you can unthanks the post because I sometimes press it instead of quote, I have just done it again like a mong. I have seen evidence of others that have done this also.
It can be misleading otherwise.

Usually, if they're going to respond anyways, people include that they didn't mean to thank the post.

Though, an option to unthank in the first few minutes (like how you can edit for only half an hour) would be kind of cool.

Yeah, I agree, either removing the button (just leaving it up to clicking the "rep" thing on the left) or being able to "unthank" would be optimal.

Like on facebook if you accidentally click Like, you can click Unlike.

Not sure if the forum coding supports that option though. It may have to be a custom change, and those are often a lot more difficult to write in.

Sometimes I'm scrolling on my phone and accidentally click thanks. And a lot of times I don't plan on responding so I don't want to make a post just to say I didn't mean to click thanks.

The "thanks" button does not have this option at this time. I can suggest it to our tech team.
