i've just got a question with the search function - maybe it is just me?
when you enter terms to search, even in an advanced search, the results come back with entire threads rather than the actual posts that contain your comment. in some threads, this means you have 20+ pages of posts to go through to find your hit.
on most other forums, when you do a search, the results come up with the individual post that contains your results - so that you can see not only the actual "comment" that contains your search items, but the snippets around it, who posted that, and what thread it came from.
i just find the search function on this board to be pretty PITA because of this - its fine if you are doing general terms for education purposes, but say i want to try and find something that i myself posted once, to link up - i cant even pull up my individual posts on a search function, i have to find them myself in the threads. same for trying to locate what was said about a certain dog, or a link to a certain site...
does that make sense?

| well i hate search aswell.. i can never find anything.. and people often tell new members to use search >> and we cant even find anything LOL !! not sure if anything can be done with out a lot of computer code etc ??
