Can you guys load up on tamiflu or something?
The norwalk thing going around is airborne & around crowds & restrooms- I found this out after having a stunted version of it last month.
I'm a huge freak about bringing spray bottles of 99% isopropyl & opening doors w/sleeves, shirts.

Apparently there's a snow storm hitting NYC about the time we are getting there. If I've survived these past few weeks without getting the flu or a cold and end up getting snowed out I will be extremely angry.

Yeah, it's slated to start where I am this afternoon and move on through. Whiel I wouldn't mind missing work on Saturday, I WOULD mind Westminster getting snowed out....

I doubt Westminster would get snowed out but everyone trying to fly there who hasn't left yet might have a hard time getting there. There's already plenty of people there for the show to happen.

It's going to be a mess. 300 flights have already been cancelled at area airports.

I'm starting to hate showing in NY! The last time I was there was a show (I don't remember the city) that we drove 14 hours from Michigan, and the power went out from the storm after one day of showing. This is only the second time, and my flights been canceled because of a storm. We're doing what we can to rebook... Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Remember, there's also a smaller airport on Long Island (Long Island Islip MacArthur) which is about an hour and a half drive east of the city.

Worst case scenario to have to drive once you've flown, but it's an option.

Well, and Newark Airport to Madison Square Garden is (Google Maps claims) 26 minutes. There's also Newark Airport into Manhattan by train, though I don't necessarily want to imagine the special nightmare that would be, with dogs for a show.

Or I do, and I'll write a darkly comedic short story that catapults me into the spotlight...

Our flight was cancelled too. :'( It sucks because we were all only going because Michelle was nominated for dogs in review breeder of the year and the winner is chosen Saturday night. So if we can't make it by then it is pretty much pointless. So good chance I won't be there now. But I guess better to be stuck here and safe then in New York!

The news here just said that the New England area north of New York is getting hit pretty hard, but New York is mostly just wet right now. I hope everything works out for you guys.

I am working in Manhattan until the morning and I don't know if I will be able to get home to Long Island in the morning! I know it sucks not being able to go but I think things are going to get very messy, at least until Sunday afternoon.

Last I heard Abby is still going! So hopefully she will be nice enough to keep us updated. We are seeing what we can do but it's hard because almost every flight is fully booked for Alaska Airlines and we can't pay $1,000 for one ticket for a different airlines.

Well theres snow down here, for those traveling in for the show be safe. NYC is expecting 6-12 its the overnight thats gonna be a prob and longislanders expect a ft+ (ps anyone flying into McArthur i believe they are gonna have more cancellations since longisland will get hit harder

I'm still going! Leaving in the morning, got quite the day ahead with dogs in the airports and everything. I think I'm pretty nice, so I'll try to take a million pictures (at least with my iPhone) and even some with the Canon if I have the energy to pull it out. If I get any pictures of dogs that I feel are looking fabulous (because they don't want them posted looking otherwise!) I'll share them here

If no fabulous photos, I'll at least share my experience!

one more day! Im excited even though I only get to watch it on tv. I hope I remember all the dogs to watch for, I do have one favorite in mind though, and definitely know her when I see her.

HI to everyone. I am so envious of all who is able to see the show. Is there a way to see the dobermans show? Last night they aired 2012 and I wondered who the doberman was, they said she was the breeder/handler.? I thought that dog was robbed of the title but maybe I am biased lol.

I will be glued to the tv both nights and rooting for the doberman I am sure. BUT I do love them all.
