Woo Adam won terriers! Best in Show should be very interesting. I'm thinking it's going to be either Oakley or Swagger. I could be way wrong though. I would love to see a breeder/owner/handler win so I am rooting for Swagger!

I was a little surprised when I heard who went BIS. Of course, I also had to actually look up what an affenpinscher was.....I can't say I dig it. But I'm biased.

When I saw that little dog in the final lineup...LOL
They always take it don't they? Save for the Deerhound last year, was it last year? oh dear.

I always assume the ones I'm rooting for aren't going to win. I even do that ringside on my own dog to minimize the butthurt & lower my stress hormones. (really think it helped last show set to not care beyond the minimum=2 1sts in class)

I thought the wire haired german pointer & American Foxhound(<-sort of endangered breed iirc) were cool additions & was vibing for them...then the little monkey dog of course comes along & smokes 'em. LOL

Ah well.

Say did anyone notice the boos when Adam the smooth fox came on? I wonder what that was about. I love his markings.

My 2cents.

I still for the life of me can not understand how one judge can determine a winner over all the others. Seems to me there should at least be a pool of 3 that makes that decision.
Same process should be done in the earlier process as well. It sure would make for a more even playing field for all the dogs competing.

No one person can know everything about all the breeds.And if it is a rare breed how many hands on experience can any one judge have.


In my book all the dogs competing, from the prelims on up are winners at Westminster.

Interesting show really, was rooting for the doberman, still think she was just stunning. I was kinda hoping the wire hair german pointer would win, and I did like the Portuguese. but, that's just my opinion from someone who does not show lol.

Did not hear the boos when Adam came on, hmm. But Banana Joe takes it, well I guess, but not MY choice haha. I really enjoyed the Ads or commercials, that little dog at the end smiling just made me bust a gut ! Ya gotta love dogs

I DID hear boos when Adam came in, and I hope that it was because of something in the crowd, and not for the dog. There really is no excuse for booing such a beautiful dog.

I heard them too. Poor Adam.
A bit ago (a year or two) there was stiff competition between 2 smooth fox terriers. Adam and Dodger. There were some that believed Dodger was the best and some that favored Adam. I wonder if that had anything to do with it? Supposedly it had caused a lot of ugliness between people.

I suppose it's similar to those that favor Fifi over Bella and vice versa...but clearly the Doberman fans have a lot more class!

I hope it was because of another animal rights or welfare activist... The same as last year during the BIS judging. I really doubt anyone would be booing any of the dogs!
