| Michigan Winter Dog Classic I know it's a little early, but I'm already super excited for the Michigan Winter Dog Classic this year! I look forward to it every year, even though I'm just an observer
I was wondering if any of you were going to be entered this year? Even though I don't post much on here, I do really love learning and reading about your dogs and seeing all the pictures. I go every year and don't know why I never thought to ask before but it would be awesome to meet you and put faces to screen names as well as see those beautiful dogs in person and cheer you on. Who knows maybe we've already met, last year I talked to a few of the people there with Dobes!
My favorite part about going to dog shows is seeing/interacting with the breeds I don’t get to on a regular basis. Which is basically everything lol I love the Great Danes, Irish Setters and Dalmatians and I'm always hoping there will be at least one Ibizan Hound to drool over! I also happen to find it absolutely hilarious to watch the toy breeds go around the ring, no offence meant to anyone, it just tickles me for some reason |

| I hope to be there with Sookie! It will be her 1st show since the puppies hopefully I can have her back in show shape by then. Eva will possibly be there also with me or her breeders daughters, I heard they may be coming up for that show. Then my baby boy hopefully will be old enough to tag along too!!

Looks like it's in Novi...hmmm. A 5 hour road trip sure does sound tempting.

| I'm hoping to make it with my guy. It's about a 4 hour drive for me. Of course he's a little older now. This pic is when he was 9 months old; now he's just turned 3. |

| Nico and I have it on our event list. He just went in for his annual boosters, etc. to gear up for the 2013 show year. I won't be hard to miss - Nico and I will be the two standing ringside with the "OMG, How did we get in this mess" look... |

| Roughly 10-14 days after entries close you can look at the judging schedule on the superintendent's website. In this instance the super is MB-F or Home Page, InfoDog - The Dog Fancier's Complete Resource for information AKC Dog Show Events, and Dog Products and Services
You would click on SHOW INFORMATION (button on left), then SEARCH BY STATE (top right), Click on Michigan and then Click on the name of the Kennel Club. That will take you to the club page, on the left there is a menu, click on Judging Schedule.
There. You got that? Tell you what, I will do my very best to remember to post ring times here, once I get the schedule.

| We live on a farm. Our horse farm is surrounded by 200 acres of woods and farmland. It's a tough call as I agree alot with Amy about the over use of vaccinations however Nico is my husband's constant companion on the farm and as such could come face to face with a racoon, coyote, etc at anytime. Actually I entered our tack room one day last fall with Nico a few feet in front - a family of racoons had taken up residence over night and Nico alerted me to their presence. I grabbed our shot gun and proceeded to clear the room from varmints. We are in the process of obedience training for competition and my vet strongly recommended the bordatella vaccine if we would be in the presence of strange dogs. He got his first dose this year. Amy has very strong views yet I love the fact that she understands my position and why we choose to vaccinate . Amy hand picked Nico for our family and in my husband's eyes, while Nico may be a show dog, he is absolutely the best farm dog. Period. |

| She must have softened some in the past few years LOL! I verbally renegotiated my contract with her before I would sign it so that I could do rabies as per the law and a couple of DHPP's... she agreed to that, but reluctantly... it was a while ago.
What day are you going to be in Novi? I would love to meet Nico! I think Amigo and Guess are two of the nicest animals she has produced, and I would love to see what they made, together. |

| Go Wheeler!! We are not going now, Sookie needs to get into more shape and Eva can be a wildcard. Maybe I can come one day and watch him Shelley, I love that show but just cannot see spending the $ when my girls aren't 100% in my mind.

| Looks like I will be there Saturday & Sunday. I am going to drive up, stay at Lynne's and then we will pop over to the show together. Lola is coming into heat, so Wheeler is staying with Tina through the Greyslake, IL shows -- just to make life a little easier around here.
I hope to see you, but if not, will catch you at one down the road.

| We will be there all 4 days. I have him etered in Am Bred since it is his first show. We plan on watching obedience and putzing around the show. Hopefully I will see some people I haven't seen in years. The last time I set foot in a show ring was 1995 - I hit the Perry, GA show circuit with a few of my mother's St. Bernards. I got to visit with a few old friends (Barb Alderman, Houston and Toddie Clark, Linda Pitts, and of course Rusty Howard). I can't believe how nervous I am about showing again. Years of showing horses instead of dogs and I am still nervous thinking about it! And obedience? Yikes! I am so glad I get to brush up on obedience with classes before heading into that realm. |
