Id love to come and see the dobies!! I will watch and see the time schedules and days so I know when to attend!
I also noticed they are having a special event on Sat and Sun where you can bring your dogs and try agility. I dont know if Bella is able to behave on a buckle collar but Im sure tempted to give it a try! Nexus wont be able to attend because she is too reactive to other dogs.

Thurs - Ring 9 / 2:45pm. Entered: 35 total - 14-11 (6-4)
Fri - Ring 9 / 1:00pm. Entered: 43 total - 15-16 (8-4)
Sat - Ring 12 / 8:00am. Entered: 46 total - 17-18 (8-3)
Sun - Ring 13 / 1:00pm. Entered 44 total - 16-18 (7-3)

For those that don't know, the numbers such as 14-11 (6-4) mean 14 dogs (males) entered in regular classes, 16 bitches entered in regular classes, 8 Male Specials (champions of record) and 4 Female Specials, entered in Best of Breed.

This show usually gets a pretty good turnout. It's a nice show with lots of vendors and a variety of health clinics. Weather promises to be good this year as well, so turnout should be good.

I am thinking of going on Sunday and bringing my Bella, I do not have high expectations for the agility try-outs. I think it would be fun though. I would like to pick one other day, Thursday or Friday to go without my dog to enjoy the showing.

I dont think I'll be stopping by after work Thursday and Friday but I'll be there all day on Saturday to watch and might bring Lily with me on Sunday too

I think I'm going to try to scoot down Sunday, I've never been to a show. Was thinking of bringing Koa with me, but usually he's on the prong when we are in lotsa-dogs-and-people situations. Are they saying no prongs just while doing the "try this" events or no prongs at all, even while walking with him?

Can anyone recommend a good hotel? Its a 4 hour drive for me - I'm headed up Thursday am - since they don't show until 2:45pm. We show all 4 days and I sure wish dobes were showing at 8am on Sunday so I could get home at a decent time.

I need to reserve a room but I wasn't sure on the hotel situations as normally I have my own LQ at the horse shows. I'm heading down to visit my horse in training (Belleville, MI) during the days that I am there in Novi.

KoaRad, yes prongs are a no no but my girls are the same way in a crowd. I have the "fancy" ones that have fabric over the prongs. There is a vendor there that was selling them last year you could pick one up from him

Al will have Prada she is entered. But he is showing her not a handler. He is a nice man very tall dark hair classes goatee. And I am not sure which day but Penny is going with Baby Bella. Bella and Prada are 1/2 sisters and cousins. They have the same sire and their mothers are sisters. Both girls are very pretty in their own ways.

I think the no prong was just for the workshop, I plan on taking Bella's with me in case she proves to be too stubborn on her harness. She respects the prong and behaves alot more on it.
Bella will be wearing her turquoise bandanna that says "Hi my name is no no bad dog"

No prong usage allowed on AKC show grounds. You probably can get away with a hidden one out on the grounds but in the building I'd not chance getting yelled at by show rep.

I’m really excited to see all of your dogs this weekend!! Especially Wheeler, we’ve been talking about getting a male for awhile now and Lyndobe’s is at the top of our list

I know I don’t post much on this forum but I am a daily lurker so it’ll be really cool to see some of these dogs I read about all the time in person and put a couple names to faces

The other half is not exactly excited about having to get up at 7am on a Saturday though... lol -This is his first show!

Well I went today instead of tomorrow, got to meet Lynne, and 3 of her dogs, including Wheeler, who is such a beautiful boy in pictures and even more beautiful in person! She had another boy there, Speed, and a girl MeMe, it was great to get to meet her and tal kfor a bit and see her dogs. I also got to meet Niko, who is such a sweet little (not) guy! There were others there too, Prada was there, and lots of other dogs.
I will hav eBella there Sunday for the agility workshop, I think thats going to be a fun day. And thank you for the prong info, Ellenm, I did not know that.

Ah ha! It was you Lynne was trying to tell me she met. LOL! Couldn't remember your name, but she tried hard - all she could come up with was that she met someone that knows me from some doberman board. Besides Wheeler, Speed and Mimi, "Buzz" was/is also there, in the AOAC Dog Class and in fact he went Reserve WD today. Buzz is Lyndobe's to Infinity N Beyond and is a Wonder son, so a half-brother to Lola. Also there is "Hemi" or Lyndobe's Hellion Hemi in the 12-18 Bitch class.

I will be there Sunday and hope to meet you!
