| | Lil Pup | My younger brother Warren did the collars. I wish he would do those again. They were pretty popular (but labor intensive). Thanks for the nice words about mom. |

| I'm having a problem with my guy pacing a couple of steps when I first start off at the trot. Any suggestions?

| For dogs that tend to pace you can either do the somewhat annoying (to some) circle in front of the judge before taking off so your dog is trotting as you proceed down the line, or you might be able to "pop" the leash to get him out of it immediately as you start. Normally a down and back is started a little slower and more controlled, but for a dog that paces I would pop them up into a good clip right away.

| Thanks Julie, I do the circle, but he paces a couple of steps on the back. I'll try speeding it up a bit. Again thanks.

| I know I'm coming in real late but I had to laugh at your post Cheryl because that was so me in Enumclaw. Not the restacking moving the feet around but the moving me hand around with the bait; just trying to hard.
Ask Elaine; I could hear her saying to me "stop feeding" "relax, breath"...LOL thanks Elaine.
When he pulled me out I panicked...LOL and then tried to hard. All part of the learning curve...

| Way to go Katherine (owner/handler) and Boca...New Canadian Champion! Hope to see you at the Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of BC in Abbottsford next month. It should be a bunch of fun.
