He's quite expensive, but I think worth every penny. The only down side with Andy is he's an all breed handler, and sometimes has a ring conflict where he's tied up with a special in another ring-although that doesn't happen very often, it's something that has to be considered.
Moe's wife, Tammy, is turning out to be an excellent handler. She not only finished an Inaqui daughter fast, but now is getting group placements and wins all over the place with her.
Elaine is also very, very good, someone I'd recommend highly.

She's actually always been Teresa Ross--I must have been typing in some sort of a fog. Is Andy living in Vancouver--I thought he was actually living in or around Portland--but it's just a matter of which side of the river you are looking at I guess.
Well not all handlers are to everyones taste. But even though I might not recommend one that I thought was a good handler I'll still list them and let people make their own choices. |

| Also in Tacoma, is Carmen Ruby. She is doing a great job with my boy, Emerald's Excalibur Ex Tijac, call name Rex. Carmen does all breeds but has owned dobes in the past and done well with dobes. |

It's absolutely true that not all handlers are to everyone's taste. Also true is some dogs respond better to one handler than they do to another. Everyone has to find the handler that they're comfortable with, that can get the job done while treating their dog well.
If I lived in that area and was looking for a handler, I'd talk to either Andy, Michelle Santana or Elaine Hopper. LOL, in fact, I live 1000 miles away from them, yet Andy and Michelle have been my handlers of choice with Razzle, rather than using a local handler.

Generally it happens because they aren't the priority dog and they've won a class and the priority dog won a class so someone needs to take them back in for winners.
Murreydobe is right on the money--not all dogs respond well to all handlers and some handlers and some dogs just have an instant click. The handler that is the "right" handler is definitely the one who can make the dog look wonderful, show well and enjoy it.
Michelle shows my dogs and has for the last nearly 10 years--but there have been times when they've been entered in a show and she ends up not making it for one reason or another--other people have taken the dogs and done a great job with them--most of my dogs have liked to show--that makes things easier.
Yeah, the special that Corky was showing was Karen's Ch Rancho Dobe's Maestro. Ch Haydenhill's Hurrah was earlier and was Maestro's sire--a lot of Rancho Dobe dogs and even more Haydenhill dogs were very straight in front. And Haydenhill's foundation bitch was Ch Rancho Dobe's Cointreau (a Riff daughter). |

| | Lil Dog | Why would you not recommend Cathy Ceely when she showed Drago in the 6-9 class ... presented him BEAUTIFULLY ... where he came in second in the class only to his littermate Multi BPIS Can Int'l CH Katoba's Holy Roller "Preacher" who took WD both days that weekend?? Please explain, if you will, why you would present such a distasteful public declaration against a well-seasoned professional who has taken more PNW doberman's to the Top 20 than most handlers in our area during those times. She is also an accomplished breeder, so again, please explain. |

| | Alpha | Picking a handler is a bit like picking a doctor....you have to be able to work with that person, communicate and have mutual respect.
