Westminster

The Dobermans are showing tomorrow morning at 9:00! Live video streaming is available online and there is a mobile app as well.
Very exciting.

zorianak 02-10-2014 06:29 PM

I'm excited! I'll probably stream it at work haha.

Lots of Foxfire dogs this year! :) (granted.. first year I've really paid attention to breeders)

Whaaaaat! Dumped :(

I did see all of the Jet kids and Avril placed though! :)

Dobiewankanobi 02-11-2014 11:28 AM

Dumped. She was dismissed in the first cut.

Here's my understanding of order:
BOB- CH Allure Playing with Fire (Flare)
BOS- GCH Tiburon Arsenal (Gunner)
Select Bitch- GCH Foxfire's Best to Come Along (Amanda)
Select Dog- GCH Perfex Canis Major (Sirius)
AOM- GCH Foxfire's Best Damn Thing of Icon RN (Avril)

There were other AOMs and I'm not sure which order they were in or whom exactly they were given to.

Reds 02-11-2014 12:54 PM

Bella also got an AOM.
GCH Tiburon Ariel Bella Dona.
:D

Well, this was the year I was supposed to put Hero in but just couldn't do it due to several factors. At the time of early entry, he still had his summer coat and wasn't looking so well because of his allergies. Then, I've been sick so much I don't have any more sick or leave days left to me so I couldn't go even without him. Well, tonight I will go home and watch the live video. I can't get away with it here at work. As to entering Hero, I plan to enter him next year come hell or high water:D

Sorry for being a noob, but what does AOM mean?

Exactly. Flare is the BOB winner and will be representing the Dobes in the group!

Interesting fact: Flare is the daughter of CJ (CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton) and Monty (CH Eastwick's Meadow Monster) who were also BOB winners in 2010 and 2006 at Westminster. I'm sure the image of Rissa and CJ winning the group will be forever burned in my mind!

Also got to watch the live stream this morning. Awesome! Wishing Flare all the best tonight.

Oh, neat! Monty actually shows up in a few places on J's pedigree :)

I assume that that photo is of Flare - what a beautiful red.

Photo is of CJ & Rissa!
Was quite a historical Dobe moment...and we got to see round 2 at the DPCA nationals this year where CJ took BOB as a Veteran.

Who was handling Flare? I was really impressed by the whole package they presented. Very well done and Flare is really gorgeous. :)

Carissa handled Flare and her mother a few years ago when she won the group at Westminster.

Ojai Sho-Shawnee 02-12-2014 02:25 PM

Thank you, Adara!

This was the first time that I really got into watching the Westminster. I got my boy Ronan in November, and at the time really had no idea just how special he is. Over the last three months, I've realized that he comes from quite the pedigree of dogs as he is the grandson of Foxfire's All Star "Jet". It's really made it fun tracking all of the Foxfire Dobes! How cool to have 4 Jet dobes in the Westminster!
