So what happened Saturday?
And...as far as the eating on the road goes--most of my dogs did not eat well on the road--they didn't get enough exercise, their schedules were screwed up, there were often multiple bitches in season around, they got bait between meals and expected the meals to be more spectacular--I used to reserve the use of canned food to make the meals on the road more palatable--sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.
Yeah, four days will take it's toll--fortunately most of the show weekends are just that...weekends--and then they can go home and relax back into their routines. The four day jobs are killers--they often do loose weight on those trips. |
So final update and point tally:
Thursday sept 4: judge CL "Surely" Rawlings. Quincy went Winners Dog.
Friday sept 5: judge Mrs. Lisa R. DeRoulet. Quincy went Winners Dog and BOW.
Sat. sept 6: judge Mr. Robert Stein. Off day for Quincy. nada.
Sun. sept 7: judge Mrs. Kimberly Meredith-Cayanna. Quincy went least Winners Dog.
So total point tally = 3. These were small shows, so only singles.
And I am embarrased to say I don't know any of the other detail about who the winners bitch was or anything.. our handler does not let us be anywhere near the ring because our dog is still senstive to our presence. And he is not very good about relaying that info to us

so we have to wait for the posted results.
The shows were heavy in bitches and light in dogs. Good for Quincy I guess Thurs and Friday he had no one else in Open so he took that of course, and he defeated 2 puppies and an American Bred for Winners Dog. Sat and Sun he had competition in Open, but still light in dogs. So it was a good warm up for Quincy's remergence into the show ring.
He's off to Wenatchee, WA; Gallatin Montana, Helna Montana, and Kennewick, WA for a full September circuit. We'll see how he does.
thanks everyone for the support.
