| Thank you all very much! I think our next go at this will be in august. Probably only rally this time so we have lots of opportunities to do fun things and meet people - not so much pressure. I want him to lovelovelove going to shows, so I'm going to take my time and cultivate this show thing well. Hopefully I can put his RN on him in 3 consecutive shows, but we'll see! My kennel club is holding a 3 day long show in september. If nothing else, we can rack up some points there. <crosses fingers>

| Congratulations!
I actually saw you and Wonder at Queeny. I had planned on talking to you after your events but had to leave before you showed.
Maybe next time.
Wonder is a pretty boy. |

| Very well done indeed!!I know I am biased but it is a big thing to do it with a Dobe they have different drives to your common or garden Collie/Lab etc.

| Gee somehow I missed this. I thought you two did well. I cracked when Wonder made the rottie break. I figured the guy wanted to harm Wonder or you but couldn't do anything to you two in public. I would be proud of him he really looked great. I kept thinking about how busy Parker is and when Wonder started fidgeting I could see it coming. I don't think Parker would have lasted that long if I tried doing it with him, even after a massive amount of training.
Thanks for the video's I really enjoyed them.
Oh how you liking your new digs?????? |

| Great job with Wonder!! Keep it up.
I think you will find that as your boy turns 2 yrs old he will be much more focused for the traditional obedience ring. Rally is a great way to get in the ring and get started. Have fun!! |

Oh how you liking your new digs?????? | He did look like he wished us bodily harm, didn't he? We talked afterwards and it was all gravy. I am very very proud. VERY proud. I just hate when you can do something in practice but not at a trial. I guess that's what proofing is for!
The digs are...inconvenient. <chuckle> 1.5 hours each way to agility, an hour each way to obedience, and no back yard. I need to drive 15 minutes each way to walk him. Ohhhh the joy! We're managing though, and W is really starting to get to know the people at the local McDonalds! They know our order by heart. The guards on post carry treats for him and we usually just get waved through the gate. So the people here are just awesome, probably because they're unspeakably bored! Wonder is also slowly learning to swim...s-l-o-w-l-y. He's discovered that he is also terrified of turtles! I should really start taking my camera with me for his hilarity. We've also hooked up with a GSD trainer in my club who is teaching me to keep him in drive, quite successfully might I add. He is doing wonderfully and I couldn't be happier with our progress. Thanks for asking!
