| Thanks, everyone! I think the mind meld from DT'ers to sit/stay might have worked Sat and Sunday!
I am debating entering another trial in June to hopefully finish up this title, or wait until fall. Rexy's environmental allergies are bothering him, and he usually scratches a LOT in the summer. If his mind is on itchiness and not work, he will be kind of miserable!
Last year he was on 9 Benadryl a day and still was itchy; this year we are trying Claritin nondrowsy formula. he's still kind of itchy here in May. I think it is the pollen that is the worst for him. He then stops scratching in Sept and is fine until May of the next year. I have not done allergy tests since he is a 4 month cycling dog with allergies. I was hoping to control it with local bee pollen, honey this year, but he's been on that since November '07.

| That is wonderful. Good for you and Rex. Hopefully I will get to trial at some point. We are working on open things now.
This week-end we are going to an agility show and go. It should be fun. The trainer and some classmates are going. I think I feel more comfortaable with OB, but the trainer says we (probably Tamora more than me) are ready. We are scheduled for an AKC agility trial in June.
The woman without arms--wow thats an inspiration.
Again I`m glad you had a successful week-end.

| Good luck trialing in agility! Let me know how it goes. I am a year away from being ready for that with Cheers!
I feel kind of uncoordinated in agility just from being unfamiliar with the dog on both my right and left, the cross behind your dog, etc. I just need more practice. I don't have any agility equipment so we only play at it once week right now.
I am debating trying to do Cheers' CD this fall. I'll train all summer and see how she looks come August. I'd love to actually go to a DPCA National and do obedience with my guys! I am definitely going in '09 in Kentucky.

I am definitely going in '09 in Kentucky. | The only equipment I have is 2 jumps. Other than that, its practice once a week. I am axious to see how Tamora does in unfamiliar surroundings. As far as being uncoordinated, everyone probably is to some degree (you have to run and still look where your dog is). I think running a little dog is easier, you have time to see where you are going.
09 for Nationals would be more realistic for me to go to, plus Kentucky, thats close for me. I would love to go to Nationals this year, but I have a lot of commitments this year. My heart would chalk everything else and go this year, but I do have a sensible side to me. So we will see. |
