your story has me in tears . . Rocket sounded like a lovely gentle giant, our red dobe boy also suckles his bed 
We too lost our 7 year old girl a few weeks ago, and I just picked up her ashes today. Bawled like a baby . . . I want her back so bad. they have such a way about them, and I can only take comfort knowing these dogs have loving homes, and the best care, and a dignified end. It's all we can do.
Hugs to you as you are going through this, it's tough. Would love to see pics of Rocket . | |

| How did you treat the Mega? It was terrible for Rocket, towards the end he really had a hard time keeping food down. Soft food did not work at all. His Mega was compounded by the Wobblers, which meant his rear legs were not strong enough for a bailey chair - he wanted to lay down all the time. I asked several Vets if Wobblers & Mega are related - but they are not - 'an unfortuante coincidence' is what one Vet said. | |

They do take a chunk of your heart with them when they go.
I am sorry you lost your boy, but he is so much better now. You just know he is chasing squirrels, rabbits and digging for gophers...or, maybe, justa laying out in the warm sun.
