| Finally healing When I had to say farewell to my Jake on Dec 2nd, I thought I'd never stop crying or ever feel the same again, we were so close and bonded. I thought, take some time, travel, do other things, go see friends without worrying about making arrangements for Jake....but I could not. Within days, I was online looking for Dobies posted on Petfinder.com. I found all the rescue sites, looked daily at all the dobies available and found Tyson. He has been home with us for a little over 2 weeks and I can swear that Jakes spirit is embodied in Tyson....my father tells me they all read the same book (which makes me laugh). My point is, the pain of losing Jake, has been eased by having Tyson come into our lives.....he is gorgeous, sweet, loving and oh so handsome.....he makes snappy noises like Jake did, is persistent about being touched and adored (I am all too willing) and exactly what I needed to be able to smile again. I really feel that Jake was watching over and helping me chose the right dog.
I hope that everyone wretching with pain and finding it hard to go about normal life, finds their way to another dobie quickly - it has helped me to move out of mourning and into a better place .....love to all. |

| I'm so glad you have found a new friend. The rescues are very special dogs.
I do know how you feel. I lost a very special girl and it took me over a year to get another dog, my rescue boy. He has turned out to be one of the best dogs I have ever owned. I didn't think I could ever really love another dog, but of course I adore him and have a show girl now too. Good old Rescue Rex healed my heart.
Enjoy your time with Tyson! |

| He looks like a sweetheart! So happy for you both. My husband says all the time about our Foster (ok, I guess he's really not a "foster" any more) "I just really love this ol' guy". Sure helped us focus on life continuing.
Love the turtles on Tyson's collar/leash! |

| Wow -- sounds like you had Jake "leaning" on you to find Tyson and give him the kind of home Jake knew he was deserving of. These Dobes, when they become angels, are even more influencing then when here on earth!
Best of luck to you!! Glad to know you are again "with" Doberman!

| Congratulations to you both for finding each other! I've never believed in coincidencs and this is certainly no exception. Jake was there with you and Tyson to bring you together, and now you're going to have a wonderful life together, with Jake always looking out for you both.
Best to you, Tyson and your family. |

| Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I too believe my two Weim boys had something to do with sending Petey to me. I still miss Uno and Mason, but Petey fills me up like not other dog I've ever owned. I feel like he has a piece of all the others that came before him.
Good for you to rescue a needy boy! I will take that route again too.
Carol & Petey!
