| We use Vital Essentials Raw Freeze-Dried Nibblets for training. They have Beef, Chicken, Tripe and others. Our boys go nuts for this stuff. I think its Doggie Crack! |

| Natural Balance or Fresh Pet rolls. String cheese, if you're going to be putting the treats in your own mouth.

| I like the Merrick treats, they are 100% Lamb Lung, made in the US and sourced from the US.
I also make my own by baking Chicken breast until well done and then cutting up into small pieces for use as training treats.

| I use low-sodium turkey dogs cut up into very small pieces. I think I can get about 50 pieces from a single hot dog. I've also simply bought a block of cheddar cheese and cut that into small pieces too.
ETA: Once I saw cheese-filled hot dogs at the store and thought, "how awesome, both things in one!" so I got them. Yes, not so fun. They're messy and hard to cut up int small pieces and kind of gross, if you ask me. I would not suggest cheese-filled hot dogs. ETA2: However, Dreizehn loved them.

| While I use several things including turkey dogs, natural balance food roles, homemade pumpkin/PB treats, string cheese and little cesars dog food in food tubes. I also boil meat such as chicken gizzards, pork tongue, pork heart or beef heart.

| For us, the treats depend on the activity.. You can find just about anything good for your dog if you look at the ingredients list.
I use dehydrated tripe in the conformation ring (or cheese or hotdogs if I have no pockets)
natural balance rolls in conformation training
and chewy liver for obedience and agility

| We use Zuke's Mini Naturals for most of our training, or Mighty Wolf Treats.
Angus especially likes pieces of cheese though.. you could probably get him to jump through a fiery hula-hoop for a piece of cheese (not that we would.. )

| I use a mix of various treats, to keep things interesting. I also sometimes mix in some kibble that I got as a free sample. Everything is cut into tiny bite sized pieces and stored in my treat bag in my purse. It has a clip that I can attach to my shorts come summer.
treats ive used:
Zukes Minis in salmon, rabbit and chicken flavours
Zukes Super Greens
Zukes Jerky NAturals LAmb
Purebites in Beef liver, chicken, turkey and duck liver flavours
Purebites cat treats in whitefish and shrimp flavours
Natures Variety Instinct bites in the rabbit and apples flavour
Charlee Bear in a sample pack. I dont buy these as they contain wheat but i usually get a free sample from stores and do give them to him. He loves them
Oven Baked treats in peanut butter and bacon flavours
Wellness Wellbites. He LOVES these
Bennys Bully Liver and Pumpkin treats
Crunchy Nutro blueberry treats
and much more.
I always have zukes, purebites, crunchy nutro and wellness wellbites on hand. These are his favorite
When my treat stash dwindles down again I want to grab some of the new treats made by orijen |

| I usually use boiled chicken breast diced into very small pieces.
I often mix it into my dogs' normal food for the day (I feed Acana kibble) and then dole it out throughout the day and in training sessions. I've found that mixing the "high value" treat like the chicken with their regular dog food makes the kibble very palatable and a higher value reward, because it tastes and smells like the chicken after being mixed up with it.

| I recently picked up a bag of Orijen treats that Dakota goes crazy for. They're freeze dried lamb (they also have beef, chicken, bison, the list goes on) and 5 calories a piece, so great for training. They're $6/bag but they make a great high value reward, and don't have any added ingredients. I'm still on the first bag but I'll be buying these again for sure. Orijen

I buy organic chicken breasts from Whole Foods...usually the cutlets are cheaper, or the tenders. I mix up what I give as treats so it doesn't get too pricey. I typically use Natural Balance rolls. |
