Khaos had this stuffed bear since he was a baby at my breeders house. It was his favorite toy to suck on and helped me very much in the beginning to post his ears by giving him his magic bear. Thinking he had outgrown this baby toy I put it up on a shelve several weeks ago. Somehow he managed to get a hold of it and he is back to sucking it with much enthusiasm even kneading the couch as if he was nursing. I took a short video of this last night. I hope this video link works.

He only sucks on the bear. I tried to get him to like the kong frog just in case something ever happens to Bear but as much as he plays with it, this sucking he only does with Bear.

That is so sweet . My last boy had a stuffed bunny that I gave him the night I brought him home, up until the day he passed he loved that bunny. He would not go to bed without it, and even though he destroyed every other stuffy he was so gentle with bunny. I remember once bunny (accidentally) got a rip in him Quin cried and cried until I fixed him. I still have bunny packed away in a "memory box" type thing, Quin was my heart dog and I couldn't bear to part with anything of his.

He also ALWAYS sucks a particular spot. He turns the bear upside down and sucks on his behind so to speak I really need to wash bear but I wonder if he would survive and if he would loose his magic once clean.

I have a "sucker" too, actually two of them! My boy does it all the time. My girl only does it when she is tired.

It's amazing how they get their feet going! He may not grow out of it. Huck kind of grew into it.....he does it more now than he did when I got him @ 18 months. He does not tear anything up so I have to leave "stuffies" out for him or he will suckle the couch blanket or the couch pillows. He is latched about 4+ hours a day! It's a little much but he seems to enjoy it. So I just let him do it.

That is so sweet. Reminds of cats who sometimes still the nursing "pawing" as adults. My dogs love softies too...for all 3 minutes they survive here. I have never seen the sucking although have heard mention of it. Thank you so much for sharing.
