| If it's not normal than Bruce isn't normal either. EVERY time I lay down anywhere near Bruce this is how we end up lol. I should add that he only does this with me, not the hubby. For some reason my head is comfy to him... |

| It is a genetic trait present in dobermans which apparently goes back a long ways. This picture was taken in approximately 1982.

| Probably not normal. For the humans, that is.

| Dobermans have a insane need to be touching ALL. THE. TIME. Preferably as close as possible!

| Normal? Yep! I think if they could crawl inside of us they would. Ollie used to lay on me, nose stuck in my neck, I loved it.

| | denormalized | Could be normal behavior, could be doberman specific behavior, but no, my Kelpie loves to lie on my head too. But dobes have to be in contact with you.
These days i sit in my leather recliner to watch TV and I end up with 3 dogs on me (not spread out like the photo below). Jill on my left chewing a bone, Lana on my right chewing a bone, Yoda in the middle with his head between my knees. When the girls get tired, they put their heads on Yoda and he loves it. Lana still lays right on top of him lengthwise and he won't move a hair because he just loves it.

1993:
Lana on blanket on Yoda (Yoda gets cold a lot):

| If my doberbrats are not touching me, I think something is wrong! Only complaint is when 90 lb Sampson changes position at night and just drops his full weight on me! What a painful wake up! |

| Love the pictures, lol. My 14 week old has to be sitting on my lap, or on me. She's not happy to be just near me, touching me, She has to be ON me. But I love it. |
