Can you post a photo side on? Much of it may be her light build and if the chest is way above the elbows, that means several pounds of equivalent weight in another same aged pup.

Just make sure you aren't keeping too much weight on him - some people like their dobes to be big dogs, (but they are supposed to be medium sized dogs) and therefore they over feed the pup.
There is no sense worrying, he will be what he will be, just don't feed a puppy food, feed an all life stages food or a large breed puppy food. I feed raw.

| Growth Chart of Puppy - Weight and Height? Loki is almost 9 months (born April 20, 2012) and he is ~68lbs, and about 29" at the shoulder (he too thinks that measuring tapes are evil). Is this about right for his age? I think he is a big underweight/height comparatively to his parents, but maybe he is just growing slowly?
He did get pretty sick when he was about 18 weeks, and didn't really gain weight very quickly after that for a while. He had only gained 8lbs in the past 2-2.5 months! Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| Rouleaux is 7.5 months, 67lbs and about 26inches in the height department. Does this sound accurate? He is very leggy and lean. He hasn't been eating much recently, but I have been associating this with growth...

He is now 4months and 5days, and he is 25kg (55lbs). Going to measure his height later today, and post a pic. His mom is 43kg(94,albs) and his dad is 53kg (116,6lbs).

| Hi All,
This is my first post - it's been interesting tracking the weight of my pup weekly vs. all the responses I've seen on this thread. From what I can tell, at his current age he's currently slightly heavier but shorter than average at this stage. No idea where he'll end up!? He's from UK / European lines.
Age: 33 weeks (7.5 months)
Weight: 74.5lb - 33.8kg
Height (Withers): 25.5"
Any thoughts!? P.S. He comes from very good show lines, with best in breed at Crufts etc in his background. |

| Update!
Age: 11 Months
Height: 30in to Withers
Weight: 67lbs Give or Take
Gawd, he's so tall, but all legs. I swear he's more like a Great Dane right now. It's fun to watch him run around playing like he's still a little baby.

| Growth Chart of Puppy - Weight and Height? I'm pretty sure Ramsey takes the cake for being the smallest puppy....7 lbs at 8 weeks! She came from a HUGE litter of 15 (2 were still born and two were undeveloped in the sack) out of a standard dog and larger bitch-both show dogs.

There is a difference between small and underfed. Underfed is thin or malnourished... is your puppy thin (can see ribs, or feel all of them clearly when lightly running your fingers down the ribcage)?
Post some pictures of your pup, please! What is her name? |
