| Dreaming puppy Does your puppy routinely dream?
I feel like since I brought him home, Rouleaux has had a dream almost each time he has fallen asleep... I'm not sure what he could possibly be chasing every time he sleeps...
Is this just a doberman trait? I haven't met a dobie yet who does this so routinely... just mine?

| I've seen Gambits feet moving in his sleep. Pretty funny actually. That and the fact he snores and wakes himself up. |

| Cleo has a lot of chasing dreams. Complete with muffled barks and twitching legs. Thor occasionally will do it too but not as often. Khaos has only had one of those dreams that I observed.

| Yes, Bruce does this at least once a day when he sleeps (whining/muffled barks/twitching legs). It cracks me up every time, I hope he actually gets to catch whatever he's after in his dreams (since he doesn't get to catch the cats when he's awake lol). |

| Rou does it at least once a day, complete with all of the above (twitching legs, whining, muffled barking/growing).
I guess this is normal. Anyone else experience this or have any factual evidence? Juts curious.

| All three of my dogs (not a Dobe in sight) twitch, jerk, and make some of the most amazing noises while they sleep. I've woken them up a few times when they seemed to be having a nightmare (twitching, jerking whining and even yelping).

| My fiancé and I were puppy-sitting a friend's pit bull over the weekend and he actually did this muffled howl as he was sleeping. It startled us at first, but then was just funny.
It seems a little light pat or scratches usually will quiet a dreaming pup, usually without waking him up, if the dream barking is disruptive. |

| It is bearable. Something to point out and whisper to him "Get it! Get it!" lol.

| Rowan usually dreams at least once a day complete with whining and twitching and it looks like the occasional nightmare. I'm not sure if it carries on to when they are older but one way to tell a puppy has brain damage is if they don't dream. Not sure if it's true but I've heard it a couple times. | Mairano is an active sleeper as well.. running, rolling, yipping, crying, growling... you name it. I have quite a few videos of him as a baby baby just yipping and running in his sleep.

| Grizzly definitely dreams every day, and Porter did too. Grizzly is just like Porter when he dreams - muffled barking (sometimes even loud!), feet looking like he's trying to run somewhere, sometimes he huffs and puffs... I use to put my hand on Porter's side and just leave it there until he would calm down, but with Grizzly, I let the little turd sleep because I enjoy the quiet time! |

| My husband is convinced Cleo is having nightmares about abuse suffered from her previous "owners" and you can see him sharpening the knifes in his head to avenge his daughter. To me it looks as if she is chasing something and Zeus and Apollo who I had from the time they were puppies used to dream just like her.

| My dobes don't dream very often, to the point of shaking a bit (in their sleep)...but when they do, I always wake them up.
- then they go back to sleep, in the masters bed // a breed with heart problems, I figure every little bit of less stress helps
