My Dobie is about 5.5 months old now and has been having loose, watery stools about every 3-4 days for the last month. She has been eating the same food consistently (Blue Buffalo Wilderness Puppy dry food) for almost two months now, but still has these accidents every few days inside my house. Does anyone have any recommendation as to why? Or if I should be considering a different food change? Thoughts?
I feed the same food to a pup who is 20 weeks old. No issues here. Feeding him about 4.5 cups a day at 1.5 cups per meal. Sometimes when he gets a lot of exorcise from playing with other pups he has a loose stool but then right back to normal.
I have heard that too much food or lots of extra exorcise can cause loose stools.

It could very well be that I've been varying her amounts of food over the past month since visiting the vet; he told me she was going to be petite and that I needed to be feeding her more than the bag prescribes. I wonder if the sudden jump in food quantity has been causing the problem...
