| Worried my boy has plateaued My little boy Agrippa will be 9 months in a few days. He's as sweet as can be and I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world but I'm worried he's going to be small. In the last 2 months he's only gone from 65-67 lbs. he's about 27 inches. He eats like a horse and I have him on the blue buffalo puppy for large breeds. His mom was 90 pounds and his dad about 95. Is it normal to plateau at this age? |

| All dobes grow at different rates, he may be done growing height wise and will just take time to fill out. 27" is within standard for a boy too.
In my experience a lot of boys get a majority of their height by 9-12 months and remain pretty lanky until closer to 20-36 months or 2-3 years old when they finish "bulking" up and get that last bit of height and substance.
P.s. we love! pictures, especially body shots

| Way, way too early to be worried yet. At 9 months old my boy was just a few pounds more than yours at 72#. He is currently 4 years old, and kept on the lean side of show condition, at 90#.

| I know they are so different every time I see other dobes at the park they're all such different sizes and shapes. Im very happy my boy is very proportionate, I was just worried that he went from gaining 6-7 pounds a month to maybe 1 pound a month |

| I also think he still has some growing to do. That being said, is it really a big deal? This breed wasn't meant to be huge anyways and a 68lb doberman is equally as intimidating as a 85lb dobe, in my opinion.

| No it doesn't matter I would love him if he was 10 pounds. But I just want to make sure he's developing right |

| As long as they are healthy, we should weigh them by the size of their hearts, not the size of their bodies.
