| Exciting News! I finally will get to meet my puppy this Wednesday and then the weekend after New Years he will finally be able to come home with me!
His ears will already be healed and the stitches taken out before he comes home. So he will be all ready for his first posting. I am so excited. I can't believe it is finally so close.
Any advice for a new owner of a rambunctious doberman puppy? Any puppy/dog gear I should definitely invest in? And fun training tips?
Disclaimer: I plan to crate train him, as all my other dogs have been. I also will be enrolling him in a puppy socialization class that our local dog club runs. If I really enjoy it I might move on to Agility or Obedience/Rally classes.

PS: I'm typing one handed trying to hold a wiggly puppy with the other

| Advice: the lay flat Your vet will love you, and you will be able to do nails.
Also start checking and rubbing the teeth with a paper towel to get them used to tooth exams. |

| I got mine yesterday so I am no fountain of wisdom but here are observations from the last 24 hours: left over seedling pots and string are far more fun than expensive purpose made toys; baby gates are the best thing ever! |
