| Puppy Food Brand Curious what brand most of you are feeding your pups? Would I assume that
all regions do not have the same brands....
We are using Nutro Ultra now, Gracie seems to eat less of this. I understand with better quality food they may not eat same quantity. |

| I fed Fromm Gold Large Breed Puppy and my boy did wonderfully on it. He now eats Nature's Variety Instinct.

| I like an als food, we had canidae in the past but with all the recalls we switched and now everyone gets American Natural Premium(made by burlo who makes fromm), whether puppy or adults
You are somewhat correct in that a higher quality food means they eat less. Most of them equal that because they have a higher calorie content than a lot of basic and bad foods. Some have a low calorie count though which to me is under 350.
For Mabel she needs at least a 360-400 cal or kcal/cup to only get 2 cups twice a day.
Canidae had 470 so she ate 2 cups a day total!

| We were on Innova Large Breed Puppy for the first while, and he did very well on it. It's quite rich but Murphy's good with it. But they don't sell that in our area, I have to drive an hour and a half for it.
So we switched to Orijen Large Breed Puppy, and he's doing well on that as well. Some dogs don't so well on these rich foods, so you'll have to test around. |

nice, its a very good quality food , how much does she weight? and what formula do you give her? Mine eat the chicken one, I also mix it with water but no cottage cheese, since I feed them raw 2 or 3 times a week.
I think you made a mistake?? Maybe its me...is she 10.5 weeks or months?

| Gracie consumes 2.5-3 cups a day plus we give her partial servings of the Nutro Ultra Holistic mixed in. When you mention raw, is it mainly beef? and how much. |

| Our Grizzly is about 9.5 weeks old now and eats Innova Large Breed Puppy. He eats about 2 cups dry per day and about 1/4 cup canned Innova Puppy food, divided into two feedings. |

| My boy gets Acana Regionals (Grasslands right now) as the large puppy foods never agreed with him and always gave him loose stools. Since switching to an ALS food, things have been great!

| We are currently switching from Purina Pro Plan puppy to Acana Regional Ranchland. We tried slowly switching to Orijen, but it just didn't take with him so we went back to the Purina and then slowly switched him onto Acana - so far its great! |

| Continued from Mid December:
Innova Large breed puppy was our choice food for Gracie after the comments on thread.
She is gaining weight, and growing but she just doesnt seem to enjoy the food.
Went out today and purchased Blue Buffalo Large breed puppy. The kibbles are smaller at
first glance and the food has a nice aroma. I gave some to Gracie and again, she ate around the Innova just as she did the Nutro.
Just going to take some time to find out what she really likes.
Blue Buffalo also has a high protein available, anyone tried this? High protein may make them regurgitate I hear. ?? |

| Rouleaux is on primarily FROMM 4 Star recipes, but I will give him Natures Variety Instinct Raw patties and the new NV Instinct Raw dry food. He seems to like the patties and NV Kibble, but LOVES FROMM.
He was on Orijen Large Breed Puppy, but it just didn't agree with him. BUT I still promote the brand. He liked the 6 Fish Orijen ALS food while I transitioned him to the FROMM Grain Free Surf and Turf.
Right now he is on the recipe with grain Salmon a la Veg, but still gets the grain free mixed in. Doing great! His coat and bms are fine!
