| Welcome Home, Grizzly!
I wanted to thank everyone for their kind words about our loss of Porter. We are still missing him terribly, but we know he's watching us. Yesterday we brought one of his relatives home, a beautiful boy from a cross between two of Laura Jones' exceptional Dobermans. His name is Grizzly, and he has patched our hearts.  He is so much like Porter, yet so different...and that's so special.
He is about 8.5 weeks old. Here he is enjoying his first dinner at his new home. Sorry for the poor quality, it was taken with my husband's iPhone, and he apparently doesn't have the resolution set very high.  I'll get some better ones soon.  |

| Grizzly is a little devil! I know that 9.5 weeks old is still really young, but sometimes he's crazy-making. But we're grateful...he's learning some things and makes progress in at least one area every day. We have a trainer coming to the house next weekend, so my fingers are crossed that we'll start making even more strides. Here he is this morning, looking all cute. He's lucky he's adorable.  | |

He has squeakies, he has stuffies, he has Kongs, he has Nylabones, he has those weird woven toys that floss the teeth...it's absurd around here.
