awhile back someone posted a link to purchase dog beds made of bite suit material. i'm trying to find it and cant...help? Deckard's getting to the point where i *think* i can trust him with a bed, but i'd like to get something tougher than the cheap beds i could buy at Costco. those won't survive his teeth if he gets gnawy.

Here's my original thread about the SynTek Bite Suit Bed:

http://www.dobermantalk.com/doberman-related-chat/66771-dobie-proof-bed-combo-so-far.html

Followup- Since we got our second Dobie, Eva, she has earned the moniker "The Shredder"! Eva has been able to destroy things our Doberboy, Spock has had for 2-1/2 years since he was a puppy. This includes toys, beds and other items.

The Ray Allen bite suit bed we use is placed either on floor in our bedroom or atop a Kuranda crate bed. Eva managed after a month to open the zipper on the bite suit bed and extract the foam padding. So now, Miss Eva sleeps on the bed sans padding, atop the Kuranda crate bed. She also likes to go in Spock's crate during the day and started to chew on the Syntek material. We always give her a Nyla-Bone in her crate to keep her busy.

Conclusion- For most Dobies the Bite Suit bed will work well compared to normal stuffed dog beds (Spock used to perforate those). But for the extreme DoberShredder, like our Eva, they are not totally indestructable. I wish they would also make the bottom out of SynTek as well. Then I would stuff them with rubber material like what they make Cuz or Hollee Roller toys out of! (Hey, sounds like a good business opportunity!) :)
