| No need to be concerned. Cato squatted to pee until he was 8-9 months old. And it wasn't consistent until like 9-10 months. |

| Lucky's a Rattie, not a Dobe, but he still squats at 12 years old. He will hike his leg sometimes, but not always.

| Titan's a nondobe mutt, is 2, and has yet to lift his leg. He looks like a stallion, spread out so he doesn't get it on his front feet He was neutered at about 9 months.

| My boy lifted his leg to pee for the first time at 12 weeks...he still squats 99% of the time but when he pees by the fence he will lift his leg and hold it on the fence to prop himself up.

| My boy is just a little over 3 years old and he still prefers to squat when peeing. He will occasionally lift his leg, but not that often.

| Ilka will sometimes lift her leg, also. Depends on what she's marking.
Lucky will sometimes lift his leg to mark an upright surface, but that's pretty much the only time he does it.

| Mariano is 5.5 months and he squats... but lifts his back right leg while he squats. Not sure if he just does not want to get his foot wet, or if it is purpose, but that is where we are at right now.

Occasionally he lifts a front leg; I really need to get a picture of that. |

| Silas is 4 years old. He's probably 65-70% squat. I would say at about 1 he began lifting, but really infrequently. At 2 he started lifting more often. I wish he'd squat 100%! Less of my bushes get peed on that way.

| Eli was about 7 1/2 - 8 months old when he began lifiting his leg. Seb, a collie, who is almost 7 month lifted his leg last night on a walk for the second time. He has begun marking but squats still however not for long I can tell. All my male dog neutered or unneutered have lifted their legs to pee before a year, most around 8-9months except Brando who was closer to 11 months. |

| Kaiser's almost 2 years now, and he still squats. I've seen him lazily lift his leg a couple times and then sniff at his foot like, "What's this doing here?" but he doesn't do it anywhere close to regularly.
For a long time, when he was younger, he peed all over his front feet when he'd squat and pee, but he's since figured that out and no longer does that.

| On a side note, my buddy's Pyr only started lifting his leg when he was the only male in the house, and he was about 3 when that occurred. His previous male housemate, a mastiff, squatted. Pyr lifts it high and proud now.
Baby, female pit, lifts her leg to mark surfaces. Her male housemate, a chi x, squats. I've got a theory about whatever pecking order they've sorted themselves into determining the leg-lifters.

| For mine it is/was mixed. Apollo started around 6 month I think, Thor will squad when he thinks nobody is watching or when he has to pee alot he will start out with the leg up but put it down before he is done and go into the squad. Now my oldest Zeus never lifted his leg in his 17 1/2 years despite the fact that my husband went out in the yard with him to show him
