| I'm so sorry. I know I'm still pretty new here, and don't know you or Deckard, but I am tearing up as I write this, and I am so sorry you had to go through this with your sweet boy. Hugs. |

| I'm so sorry to hear this. It all happened so quickly.. it might be a blessing in the end that he didn't suffer for a long time, but so sad to hear he is gone so soon when you hoped to have a few months.

| Oh gosh. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Even when it's the best thing that could happen for the pup, it's still so terribly sad. I'm sorry. The good ones are always taken away from us far too soon. |

| | denormalized | I missed this thread earlier and after responding to your cry of pain on another thread, I wanted to know what happened.
I am just bawling right now. The tears are flowing off my chin. I am so very, very sad for you. You were able to do what you could for him, you did everything anyone could have asked for him.
But OMG, so tragic, so sad, so...... no words.

I just can not imagine what you are going through and I'm typing through tears.
My prayers are with you and your family.

it's a little easier, but only marginally. or maybe that was all the drink getting me through my week at home. in any case, today will be a test to see how the return home goes.
boyfriend goes to pick up his ashes on Saturday. i can't go with him. the second i see our vet or anyone else who helped with him while he was there, i will cry. again. |

| i don't understand people who won't do everything they can for their dogs. he was the closest thing we will have to a child. i can't imagine NOT doing everything i could for him, ESPECIALLY at his age. |

Same here.
Falnfenix, I feel so bad for not seeing this 'til now. I wish there were some way some of us could come get you and whisk you off for a good drink and a cry. Quote:

Someone else out there needs you, someday. Your handsome sweet red boy would want that.
Ashes day is always bittersweet. Cry as much as you need and want.
