Introducing male puppy to 8 year old Female

Hi I am new to your boards . I need advise on how to introduce puppy to older dog . Older Female trained but not really friendly towards other dogs. when we meet other dogs on walks I put her in the down position until they pass. She really does extremely well on or off lead with verbal commands, But I just have a feeling because she has been the Queen of the house all her life That the intro to a new Dobie inside her domain will be a little rocky any suggestions will be welcome

Don't introduce them in "her domain" but take them somewhere neutral (and somewhere without heavy dog traffic, due to the puppy's age).

I'd advise having an experienced trainer help you with introductions. You can find qualified trainers here: Search for Professionals
