| Distance corrections Any ideas on what might work? I'm not a fan of penny cans since they scare ALL the dogs, not just the guilty one.
I used to have a squirt gun, which was amazing.. and then today, THIS happened. Clearly, no longer effective as a scare tactic. Doberman - when a correction goes wrong - YouTube

| I'm giggling watching that video
What are you looking to fix? I'd focus on showing him what to do vs correcting if that makes sense. If I need to interrput, I say dogs name and tell them what to do. I have taught Envy no means stop what you are doing. But at this point it also means I run over and give a reward when she stops. I can get her to stop eating the grass IF I'm there that second, but not all the time yet.
When Flirt starts her gosh darned (insert cuss words) prey SCREAMING at Havoc and egging him on (i.e. pissing him off) I go up to her and tell her to leave it, come and reward. And vice versa when he gets over threshold.

| HAHA This video is exactly why I decided not to water gun Toorc when he was being kennel trained. I also didn't want him to be afraid of water. Unfortunately, he isn't old enough for me to have started work on distance training other than our front yard and he gladly prances back to me because I usually have food lol |

| For me its mostly for correcting the high pitched barking (see: screaming) at the other dogs when he wants to play and they don't. With the super-soaker I could get him instantly pretty much anywhere on the main floor. The water worked (past-tense) pretty well at getting him to stop doing that.

| LOL, oh, water guns. Deckard sees them as superfun toys for super happy fun times...he has since the first time he got squirted on the butt by our friend's kid. |
