| I'm guessing you brought your pup home due to the pic in the car. Six weeks is pretty young to get a puppy. Where did you get him from?
SO CUTE. Congrats on your new addition! Love the blue eyes. |

| Welcome to DT.
Red boys are best!
Here's an article to help you out with your new pup, since he was sadly removed from his Mom and siblings too young; he will need you to teach him all this: Bite Inhibition Article

| Aw, so little...
Is it legal in your state to get a puppy at that age? I have read on here that it is illegal in many states, since it is so important for them to be with their siblings at this time. |

| Oh man - how would you keep a pup like that out of your bed and off your couch? I bet you'll be sharing - forget about any possibility of house rules, he's a cutie.

| | Lil Pup | It's actually very important for you to be with them at such a young age if you can get them that young. The bond they build with you is incredible and he is pottype trained and not even 7 weeks yet so I would say if you can get them at 6 weeks no earlier......he might be the smartest puppy I have ever owned or seen no joke but anyways yahoo he was dpaa papered so it was good to go....going to the vet for has ear cropping first week of December and everything else is good...does anyone know any puppy treats I can start giving him while he is young?? |

I just use hot dog bits or string cheese for basic stuff. I only give out special treats in certain circumstances.

| Welcome to DT. Please read the forum manifesto. Good luck with red pup and it is true that it's illegal in many states for a breeder to sell a puppy before 8 weeks. |

| Whoa. So much wrong here. I am sorry you got duped. No one no matter the breed that has a shred of ethics would allow a pup to go that early. I am a sucker for red boys and he is adorable but game shame I that person who pulled the wool over your eyes. You should have done research to avoid this. Luckily you came to the right place. There are loads of smart people here who can give you advice to help this dog become a stable pet. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App

Congrats on your puppy but it's a damn shame that he got taken away from his mother and littermates too early.
