| Other doberparents with CURRENT 22 week olds? How is everything going?
Am I the only one who feels like- at times- their pup forgets EVERYTHING they have learned thus far?
Any in the NY area?

| He is excellent in puppy class. We are currently enrolled in elementary level obedience. It is at home- subborn, stubborn, stubborn. But I love him
no else with a 22 week old in NY?

| You're not alone. E is 22 weeks and both a joy and terror. His energy has no bounds, he never tires or lays down for even a second!
I'm in Northern NJ, about 20 minutes outside of Manhattan.

| I have an angel 8 month old puppy. He never tests, and hardly does anything "wrong".

| | denormalized | At 22 weeks their little mind finally realizes they can reach things that they couldn't before and they can outrun most people and other dogs and they can get away with murder if they really try. Yes, 22 wks - the border between little puppy (toddler) and young puppy (pre-teen hellion).
That's how I think of it and they really have to re-learn some things because it doesn't work the way it used to work - sit and stand come in here but down seems consistent; "come" is like a foreign word and needs to be reinforced a lot with food and toys at this age. Everything needs to be reinforced constantly until they get past the teens IMO.
