It is with great dober pleasure, to announce & share our new family addition...KELLY...at 9.5 weeks old.
Last Friday we drove from Ontario, Canada, across 3 States to Illinois to get our new baby girl...with Nancy, Andrew (son) and Larry on board.
Friday was 11 hours on the road, stayed overnight in Chicago, off to breeders and back home, another 14 hours Saturday travelling.
- round trip totalling 1950 Km or 1200 miles
- she was great in the car, and we stopped several times / two of us went into a restaurants and one stayed back, to baby sit
- had lots of time to cuddle & bond some, on the loving trip home...and luckily the weather was perfect
I could not have asked for more good luck, we love our Kelly girl dearly.
- Sandra G.Hunter (aka Sandi) has a super clean facility, and 3 adult dobes, sleep in her bedroom at night / very nice and most knowledgeable breeder.

Kelly is from the pairing of:
sire: BISS GCh/Can Ch Lyndobe's Turn On Da Charm WAC CGC
dam: Ch Bruda Up In Spirit
- producding 4 girls & 5 boys = 4 black/5 red pups

FYI - Interview with Sandra G.Hunter, the famous Doberman Breeder, BRUDA DOBERMANS, Illinois USA.
Interview Date : 27th March 2004 Woodstock Dog Training School | Dog Grooming, Dog Breeds, Dog Diet, Dog Health, Training Dogs, Dog Trainers, Dog Trainer, Dog Training School, Dog Training, Dog Obedience Training, Dog Security Training, Dog Grooming Services

Stay tuned - I have lots more pictures, to share...with my DT friends / and puppy "story time" to tell.
(LOL - son taught me how to shrink & link photos, off my new camera, just last night)

Downtown Chicago, photo taken early Saturday morning...checked out before 6:00 am.

Leaving Chicago, photo from Volvo wagon window...3 more hour drive, to see our puppy.

Illinois flat countryside, lots of tall windmill's across one long stretch of hwy...another 45 minute drive, for exciting puppy time.

Mom gets first look, for her new baby - black or red girl, is still the breeders secret.

We always give our son Andrew, 1st honors to hold the family dober puppy.
- he said he will remember this family trip, for the rest of his adult life

Congratulations! Sounds like a nice family trip.

Of the two black bitches....Sandi/co Breeder are keeping the black bitch purple collar. Not sure what collar the other black girl was....either no collar or black bitch pink collar...I think...
Anyhow....Larry has the other black bitch. I told Sandi that Larry had plans for obedience titles ect. And she said.....good.....this one's going to need it! ha
Little spitfire. ha

She is absolutely precious, and won the doberlottery to get to go home with you. :) Bruda was second on my list of breeders to buy from - if it weren't for the fact I'd have to fly myself + the puppy, and Foxfire happened to be closer/have exactly what I was looking for, I probably would have picked a Bruda.

That being said, I am glad to see your family healing. :)

Congratulations - looks like a lucky puppy & a lucky family. She looks like a cutie.

I heard it might be snowing in some areas near you tonight - going to be some unpleasant midnight pee breaks coming up.
Kate
^^^^ We are just South of London, still have zero snow (temperature not bad yet)...but we are driving 2 hours North tomorrow (visit family), so Kelly will experience the white stuff...should be interesting, see how she likes cold feet for a moment...thanks again Kate.

So happy for you Beaumont and family!! That photo of your son and Kelly is priceless. Glad you shared such a wonderful new bundle of joy with us :)
^^^^ Yea ZR - that photo in post #1 is a real keeper // and I did say, I was starting my thread off with teaser pictures...he-he.

OMG Kelly is a beauty!! My friend always says I would like to be a doberman in your house well I ditto that!! OK share your ride back home and details :)
^^^^ Ok Sherryh, you twisted my arm...he-he.

From Wednesday recap - day4 at home:
Kelly is a little monkey / spitfire...LOL...this morning up at 6:00 am and in first hour:
- ran around the house, with Mom’s leather sandal
- ran around the house, holding newspaper
- dragged her puppy blanket, from the dining room into the living room
- sandal ends up on dog bed, start chewing this time, laying down, in padded comfort
Then jumps up on Dad’s legs for kisses ASAP, and all must be forgotten...LOL...she is a job & a half sometimes.

So quick and wants to mouth absolutely everything...and still has tons of toys, out on the floor....just like the toddler days, close to 30 years ago.
One good thing is, she sleeps good in the master bed, and through the night for outside potty break...at the 10 week puppy age, any success is huge.
- she got 100% better, just from Monday to Tuesday...but one has to have hawk eyes, all the time // now when she has something in her mouth, she thinks it's funny to run thru. the house...with Dad in tow.

Kelly slept under the bed covers this afternoon, for the first time / and tonight she had a power nap on Mom's lap, sitting in the leather recliner.
She climbed up onto the leather love seat, unassisted...and climbed up on the stair landing to watch for Mom, coming down stairs.
- she likes sleeping on Mom, just figured it out
If Dad goes outside on the front porch (for a minute), she cries for me (sitting by the front door)...and Kelly cried when Mom left for work, in the morning.
At bedtime, sometimes in with Mom first, when I come up stairs, she jumps off the bed, and right by my feet, while I brush my teeth.
- the attachment and mutual sharing of love, is feeling great
Tonight, she stayed up, to sleep on a blanket beside Dad, while on the computer...now she is up on my lap.

Biggest congrats! I am so glad you found a lucky puppy to take home with you... she's beeeau-tiii-ful! Her dad, Turner, lives just a couple of blocks from me... I may steal some of your pictures from time to time (if you don't mind) and send them to his owner so she can keep up with her grandpuppy.
^^^^ Thanks mmctag - and your more than welcome, to foreward Kelly's photos...to sire's MI owner.
