It is with great dober pleasure, to announce & share our new family addition...KELLY...at 9.5 weeks old.
Last Friday we drove from Ontario, Canada, across 3 States to Illinois to get our new baby girl...with Nancy, Andrew (son) and Larry on board.
Friday was 11 hours on the road, stayed overnight in Chicago, off to breeders and back home, another 14 hours Saturday travelling.
- round trip totalling 1950 Km or 1200 miles
- she was great in the car, and we stopped several times / two of us went into a restaurants and one stayed back, to baby sit
- had lots of time to cuddle & bond some, on the loving trip home...and luckily the weather was perfect
I could not have asked for more good luck, we love our Kelly girl dearly.
- Sandra G.Hunter (aka Sandi) has a super clean facility, and 3 adult dobes, sleep in her bedroom at night / very nice and most knowledgeable breeder.

Kelly is from the pairing of:
sire: BISS GCh/Can Ch Lyndobe's Turn On Da Charm WAC CGC
dam: Ch Bruda Up In Spirit
- producding 4 girls & 5 boys = 4 black/5 red pups

FYI - Interview with Sandra G.Hunter, the famous Doberman Breeder, BRUDA DOBERMANS, Illinois USA.
Interview Date : 27th March 2004 Woodstock Dog Training School | Dog Grooming, Dog Breeds, Dog Diet, Dog Health, Training Dogs, Dog Trainers, Dog Trainer, Dog Training School, Dog Training, Dog Obedience Training, Dog Security Training, Dog Grooming Services

Stay tuned - I have lots more pictures, to share...with my DT friends / and puppy "story time" to tell.
(LOL - son taught me how to shrink & link photos, off my new camera, just last night)

Downtown Chicago, photo taken early Saturday morning...checked out before 6:00 am.

Leaving Chicago, photo from Volvo wagon window...3 more hour drive, to see our puppy.

Illinois flat countryside, lots of tall windmill's across one long stretch of hwy...another 45 minute drive, for exciting puppy time.

Mom gets first look, for her new baby - black or red girl, is still the breeders secret.

We always give our son Andrew, 1st honors to hold the family dober puppy.
- he said he will remember this family trip, for the rest of his adult life

Sizzledog - My wife Nancy has Facebook, many thanks for the link.
I just may have to get my ouw Facebook account, to follow the doberman group or use Nancy's account.
- my son co-owns a "digital marketing media" company and finds it very funny, Dad still doesn't have a debit card or cell phone...LOL...and can't get a DVD movie loaded up - but Mom can...:)

Congrats!! I think she was the little girl running around without a collar....I got a couple of good pics of her before her crop, I'll have to see if I can find them.
noodlerubyallie - I would absolutely LOVE to have any photos of our girl Kelly and those of the Bruda's puppies Spirit and Turner 2012 litter...to totally treasure.
- even in large unsized version...could be sent to my personal email (personal address found under Beaumont67)
- much appreciated, & thks.
...Larry

Tonight, it is now 9:30 in the evening...and as usual, Mom made Kelly pre-bedtime oatmeal with a bit of milk, to cool down.
Kelly likes sticking to Mom like glue, in the kitchen...and finished every last oatmeal drop, licked clean.
Then she runs into the living room to play with toys on her dog bed.
So Nancy has a little extra oatmeal on the stove, and she lightly stires it with a spoon.
Kelly, hears more food in the making, drops her toy and quickly runs in from the living room.
Jumping up on Mom's legs, little food begger...at least Kelly's hearing is good.

I didn't think as much of this photo, until now (angle off)...but our "cheetah/leoperd" girl did come to our son, all by herself.
- Kelly is standing up on her hing legs, to reach Andrew's hand, through the chain link fence

After leaving Sandi's place around 11:00 am (last Saturday)...we drove 1.5 hours and needed to get some lunch.
The following amish/train heritage small town, (name ??) was our pit stop.

Significantly similar is our small city and the next town over in SW Ontario.
I stayed outside with Kelly (walking along the train tracks, for potty break), while Andrew & Nancy ordered from the restaurant.
They brought me out 1/2 a toasted club house...:eatchicken:...to eat in our Volvo wagon...very good food, it hit the spot.

Hard to photo a pup inside a car, when most of the time, laying on someone...but here is one, before Kelly's sleepy time nap.

One more for Kelly DT friends.

I could tell how your heart was broken over the loss of your Amy, and finding out about your gorgeous new pup was wonderful news.

The picture of your son holding her in the first post and the comment about a lifetime of memories about the trip to get her is priceless. So glad you all have a new little life to enjoy.

Best wishes for lots of dober-kisses, and congratulations.

Thanks Christine,
Amy's "rainbow bridge" thread, was my human attempt to honor her long and loved life.
It is captured in the DT archives, just as Kelly's new puppy thread, with all the trip pictures included (have special meaning to us).

Years & decades from now, our son can view our family trip together, and remember the dobe friends, that was truly part of our family life.
^^^^ and that is just one gift, of belonging to DT...moments & real memories, captured in time

Congratulations. She's so adorable and one lucky Doberbaby. Please hug and kiss her for me.

Look at the following she already has. Wow.
^^^^ Kelly started out as a "little monkey & an all out chewer"...LOL
I watch her like a hawk, all day, with the help of Nancy at night, once home from work.

Using my DaDa "NO" voice, she has learned to look up, stop & give me eye focus (so all very good).
Next she runs to me and jumps up, for big wet kisses.
Like a little angle, Daddy girl tries to wrap me around, her "big puppy paws"...LOL
- she has realized: Kelly is quickly forgiven of past mouthing antics...all she has to do is plant kisses on me, over & over & over

Luckly, with much supervision, I see measurable improvements, every day.
But some puppies can be a handful...in dapple & Sandi words, "SPITFIRE"
- better & easier to train & educate the little dobes of family rules, expectations & boundaries early on...from day1
Building the bond first, is order #1 with much love, voice & body language - investing the time now, hopefully maturity is clear sailing !!

Of the two black bitches....Sandi/co Breeder are keeping the black bitch purple collar. Not sure what collar the other black girl was....either no collar or black bitch pink collar...I think...
Anyhow....Larry has the other black bitch. I told Sandi that Larry had plans for obedience titles ect. And she said.....good.....this one's going to need it! ha
Little spitfire. ha
^^^^ Any more Kelly secrets, I should know about ?? :roflmao:
