I usually wait half an hour, let him out... then start to get ready. Depends on the day and our plans...
He seems to love car rides... he gets excited when I start to get ready, watches me do my makeup and get dressed... the second I grab my keys, he is at the front door. Open the car door, and he lunges in lol.
hmm. sounds like the movements of the car are helping to "settle" everything in his gut. my only thought is to learn to crack the window. we have a 4 legged fumigator when we take Deckard anywhere, as well. feelin' your pain!

A little trick.... Crack the front window just a bit 1/4" and open the back about 1". It will keep in a fair amount of heat, and vent the malodorous toxin quickly
