| Gorwing "into" their ear crop...? I am finally getting the hang of posting my pups ears and might I add that they are looking spectacular, IMHO, lol! I thought at first they were uneven or were not that great looking but after a week of proper posting, WOW the difference is amazing.
One question though, I see that there are many different crops on them, show crop/long, medium, or short/military.
My questions is do they eventually grow inlto their ears? Like the long show crop, does it eventually fit their head nicely? I do see pics that show this, but do the ears grow with the dog or does the dog grow into its ears? Will my pups ears grow any longer slightly? I do like the length of his crop as it was easier to take care from what I hear. But will they be extremely short when he grws up? or will his ears continue to grow with him?

edited: for spelling errors | Yes they grow into their ears. The ears get a tad shorter in relation to their head because the head puts on more bone and muscle and the ear is just skin and cartilage.

| so I am to expect my pups ears to look smaller but it's just that his head and body are growing then? I am worried they will not look as nice because right now they look perfect on his head, lol!

| Do you have a picture? I think the short answer is yes, proportionally his ears will end up looking smaller (as compared to his head) once he's older.

| I don't think they're too short right now, they will end up looking pretty natural I think. They probably won't be as long as a show crop but they shouldn't look too short.

| The bell looks a bit far forward to me, but I'm not an expert and can't tell you how to correct that.... |

| Yes they definitely grow into them! I remember thinking when Red was a puppy that if his ears were shorter, they would fit him so much better - I just thought they were too long.
But once he was an adult, they fit his head perfectly. I'm still in awe about how the doctor who cropped that litter was able to tell on such small puppy heads how the crop would look when they were adults. Truly an art

| Yes it is a decent crop.. at least I have seen much worse!!! Typically show crops are a little thinner - as in there is less bell and less "outer edge" of the ear. This is Ziggy as a puppy:
This is him now, I think his ears are perfect for his head:
